Summary of the issues discussed:
Diabetes UK Cymru presented their new report on access to diabetes technology for adults in Wales. Discussions focused on current concerns about access for people living with diabetes, the benefits of having access to new technologies to support them, and the need for a national diabetes programme to deliver technologies like Hybrid Closed Loop with a dedicated funding stream. This is to meet the Welsh Government’s commitment to adhere to NICE guidelines within the five-year timeline.
